A Peek Behind-the-Scenes of Being Me

Keepin’ It Real About Grief, Gentle Recovery, and How I’m Still Growing My Business

Hey friend,

Today, I want to invite you into my real life—not the perfectly lit, curated version, but the behind-the-scenes moments that don’t always make it to Instagram. This post is for you, my fellow mama who’s juggling a hundred things (and probably forgot what day it is). I see you—and I want you to see me, too. Because truthfully? Life lately has been heavy. And still, somehow, full of grace.

Grief in the Cracks of My Day

We lost someone dear to us not long ago. My grandmother, who lived a full life and died peacefully at home at 93. She was my last living grandparent, and somehow her death hit harder than I expected. In the days since she passed, I’ve been thinking a lot about the legacy she left behind, the gratitude I have for her presence in my life, and the change in seasons for our family.

I won’t sugarcoat it—grief is like a wave that sneaks up on you while you’re folding laundry or making dinner. One moment you’re managing just fine, and the next, your heart drops out of nowhere.

In this season of slow healing, I’ve learned that recovery isn’t about pushing through or “getting over it.” It’s about making space for the hard moments. It’s about taking breaks when needed, crying in the car (yes, even at school pickup), and finding comfort in my faith, in prayer, and in the quiet rituals of daily life.

Gentle Rhythms and Sacred Space

As a naturally scatterbrained mom, I thrive on rhythm—not rigid routines, but cozy, grace-filled rhythms. Morning coffee in my favorite mug. Lighting a candle during prayer time. Sunday Mass to start off my week. I anchor my days in these simple habits to calm the mental clutter and feel like me again.

And even though I work in direct sales, I don’t hustle 24/7. I believe in slow living—nurturing real relationships, being present with my daughter, and building a business that fits into my life, not the other way around.

So… How Do I Make It All Happen?

The short answer? I don’t do it all. I do what matters most.

Here’s what’s actually working for me right now:

  • Letting God Lead: I ask, “Lord, who do You want me to serve today?” Whether it’s a customer who needs a skin solution, a team member who needs encouragement, or a friend who needs prayer, I believe this work can be Holy ground.
  • Grace-Filled Planning: I keep a flexible weekly planner (with room for margin!). I jot down 3 business goals max each week—simple, doable wins like sending out a Project Broadcast message or posting in my VIP group.
  • Sacred Time Blocks: I set aside “office hours” while my daughter’s at school or during gymnastics. No guilt, just intention. I even set a timer to stay focused.
  • Support Systems: Project Broadcast helps me stay consistent without burning out. My Jordan Essentials team (The JETs!) is full of incredible women who lift each other up. And of course, my little family keeps me grounded in love.

What I Hope You’ll Remember

If you’re walking through grief, overwhelm, or just a foggy season where your brain feels like browser tabs left open too long… you’re not alone. You don’t have to be perfect. You don’t even have to be productive.

You just have to keep showing up—with gentleness, with intention, with your heart pointed toward what truly matters.

I’m building this life, this business, this cozy handmade home, one faithful step at a time. And I know you are, too.

So take a deep breath, friend. Light that candle. Send that message. Take that nap. Whatever your next step is—make it small, and make it sacred.

With love and peace,
Natasha
