My Summer Morning Routine as a Faith-Filled Homemaker & Mompreneur

Mornings have the power to set the tone for the rest of your day. For me, as a wife, mom, and mompreneur, a calm and intentional morning makes all the difference. It helps me put my faith and family first, while also giving me the clarity and focus I need to grow my Jordan Essentials business.

Today, I’m taking you behind the scenes of my summer morning routine—the little rhythms that create peace, productivity, and purpose before I head into whatever the day holds.

1. Coffee + Devotional + Journaling

The very first thing I do? Pour a cup of coffee and sit down with my devotional. This quiet time in the Word gives me a moment to center my heart on faith and reflect on gratitude.

I also spend a few minutes journaling—capturing thoughts, prayers, and intentions. These small practices ground me and help me step into the day with clarity.

2. Getting Ready with Jordan Essentials

Even though I’m often at home, I take a few minutes to get dressed and put on my Jordan Essentials makeup. It’s a simple routine that boosts my confidence and energy.

Self-care doesn’t have to be fancy—sometimes it’s just about those small choices that help you feel more like yourself.

3. Planner Check & Kitchen Tidy-Up

Next, I check my planner. This is when I review my priorities for the day—whether it’s work at my accounting job, homemaking tasks, or time set aside for my Jordan Essentials business.

I also like to put away clean dishes and do a quick reset of the kitchen. These little homemaking tasks keep things running smoothly.

And before the day gets away from me, I love to sit down and enjoy breakfast with my daughter. That connection time is a gift in our busy mornings.

4. Daily Homemaking Habits

After breakfast, I tackle a few daily rhythms that make a big difference:

  • Swish & Swipe of the bathroom (a 2-minute refresh!)
  • Starting a Load of Laundry
  • Watering Flowers
  • Refilling the Hummingbird Feeder

These small habits create a sense of peace and order in our home. They don’t take long, but they have a big impact.

5. Transitioning Into Work

Once my homemaking tasks are complete, I shift into work mode. Some days that means heading off to my accounting job. Other days, it means settling into my home office to work on my Jordan Essentials business.

Either way, my morning routine prepares me to step into my day with energy, focus, and purpose.

Closing Thoughts

A morning routine doesn’t have to be complicated. The goal isn’t perfection—it’s about building simple habits that help you live with more peace, balance, and joy.

For me, that means beginning with faith, connecting with family, caring for my home, and leaving space for my business goals.

What’s one habit that helps you start your day peacefully? I’d love to hear in the comments!
