Opening My April Planner 🌿 | A Simple Monthly Reset Routine (Part 1)

There’s something so refreshing about turning the page to a new month.

April feels like a gentle invitation to begin again… to clear out what’s no longer needed and make space for what matters most.

Today, I’m sharing the first part of my April planner reset—starting with opening my new planner setup and unboxing the April box from Jane’s Agenda.

🌿 Starting with a Fresh Planner

Before I add anything new, I always begin by removing the previous month’s cover and inserts.

There’s something so satisfying about taking out March, knowing that season is complete, and giving it a permanent home in my archive planner. It helps me feel less cluttered—not just in my planner, but mentally too.

If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by your planner, this step alone can make such a difference.

📦 What’s Inside the April Deluxe Box

One of my favorite parts of this monthly rhythm is opening the Deluxe Subscription Box.

I love that there are three different subscription tiers depending on your planning style, and each one is thoughtfully curated. This month’s items felt especially perfect for a spring reset—light, fresh, and inspiring.

Inside the box, I found pieces that helped me create a peaceful and functional setup:

  • A beautiful new cover
  • A decorative cardstock dashboard & quote cards
  • Inserts from the Productivity Planner Set
  • A page finder to keep everything accessible

✨ Setting Up April

Once everything is cleared out, I start layering in the new month.

I chose a cover and dashboard combo that felt calm and simple—something that would feel inspiring when I open my planner each day.

Then I added the inserts I’ll actually use this month (this part is key… not everything, just what supports my current season).

Finally, I placed my page finder so I can easily jump to my monthly spread.

It’s not about perfection—it’s about creating a space that feels peaceful and usable.

💛 This Is Just the Beginning

This is just Part 1 of my April reset.

Next, I’ll be sitting down to actually plan out my month—my routines, priorities, and rhythms that help our home run more smoothly. Then I’ll add my Monthly Prayer Focus Page, my Business Momentum Dashboard, and some light and easy decor to the monthly and weekly pages.

If you’ve been craving a slower, more intentional way to approach planning, I think you’ll really enjoy that next step.
