Mid-Year Reset: Reflecting, Realigning & Planning the Rest of 2026
“Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” — Proverbs 16:3

“Entrust your works to the Lord, and your plans will succeed.” — Proverbs 16:3
The halfway point of the year always feels like a natural time to pause.
Not to criticize myself for everything I haven’t accomplished, but to look back with gratitude, celebrate the progress I’ve made, and gently realign my plans for the months ahead.
In this week’s video, I’m sharing my own mid-year reset inside my planner and talking about what’s actually been working for me this year—and what I’m intentionally changing as I move into the second half of 2026.
If you’ve been feeling like life has gotten busy or your plans haven’t unfolded exactly as expected, I hope this encourages you to remember that a reset doesn’t have to be dramatic. Sometimes it’s simply a chance to refocus on what matters most.

Looking Back Before Looking Ahead
One of my favorite parts of this process is flipping through my archive planner.
It’s amazing how quickly we forget all that’s happened over just a few months.
As I looked back through the past six months’ planner pages, I was reminded of:
- projects that have been completed
- unexpected opportunities that appeared
- habits that have quietly become routines
- prayers that have been answered
- lessons I never expected to learn
Instead of focusing on everything left undone, I wanted to celebrate the progress that has already happened.
What’s Actually Working
As I completed the Mid-Year Reset inserts from Jane’s Agenda, one question kept coming back to me:
What’s actually working?
Instead of trying to reinvent everything, I realized there are several systems that have genuinely made life feel calmer and more manageable this year.
Some of the biggest ones include:
- my Weekly Stewardship Meeting
- my Monthly Prayer & Intentional Living page
- using my planner as my “big picture”
- my Peaceful Home Index Card System for daily action
- simple habit tracking
- walking when I can—even imperfectly
- giving myself permission to make small adjustments instead of complete overhauls
Those aren’t flashy goals.
They’re simply habits that help me keep moving forward.
Choosing Just Three Priorities
Rather than creating a long list of new goals, I narrowed my focus to just three priorities for the second half of the year.
1. Grow the Peaceful Home Membership
My hope is to build a community where women can find encouragement, practical systems, and gentle accountability as they create peaceful homes.
2. Create a Consistent Rhythm for My Index Card Course
As always, my YouTube videos and blog posts should bring a moment each week to slow down and reset. My hope is that my content continues to offer something beneficial and meaningful, a moment of calm and peaceful reflection. Instead of relying on occasional launches, I want my weekly YouTube videos and blog posts to naturally help people discover the course when they’re ready.
3. Build a Weekly CEO Rhythm
One of the biggest changes I’ve made this year has been giving each weekday a primary focus.
For example:
- Monday – Admin Day
- Tuesday – Plan & Play Day
- Wednesday – Filming Day
Having simple rhythms has helped my business grow without feeling like it has to consume my entire life.
Small Changes Can Make a Big Difference
Another change I’ve made recently is simplifying my planner setup.
Sometimes the smallest adjustments—like finding a weekly layout that better fits how I naturally plan—can make the biggest difference in reducing mental clutter.
I’ve learned that planning isn’t about creating the perfect system.
It’s about creating a system you’ll actually enjoy using.
A Gentle Reminder
If there’s one thing I hope you take away from this video, it’s this:
You don’t have to start over.
You don’t have to throw everything out.
And you certainly don’t have to wait until January.
Take a few quiet moments to ask yourself:
- What’s working?
- What’s no longer serving me?
- What small adjustment would make life feel a little more peaceful?
Those simple questions can change the direction of the next six months.
