Jane’s Agenda October Box Unboxing + My October Planner Refresh

October is almost here, and after what has felt like a very long, hot summer, I’m especially happy to finally be enjoying some cooler fall weather here in Missouri. 🍂

So it felt like the perfect time to head up to my office, open up my Jane’s Agenda October Deluxe Subscription Box, and give my planner a little refresh for the new month.

I always enjoy seeing what comes in the monthly boxes, but one of my favorite parts is deciding which pieces I actually want to use in my planner each month.

In this post, I’ll share what came in the October Deluxe Subscription Box and how I incorporated some of the new pieces into my current planner.

Unboxing the October Deluxe Subscription Box

Jane’s Agenda offers three subscription levels, and the Deluxe Subscription combines the Cover Club and Lifestyle Box.

This month’s box also included a QR code that you can scan for a digital tour card, which is a fun way to see more of the theme and items included in the box.

Cover Club

The Cover Club portion of my October box included:

  • Plastic cover
  • Decorative cardstock set
  • Coordinating page finder

The decorative pieces are always one of the things I enjoy most about the Cover Club because they give me an easy way to change the look of my planner without having to completely start over.

Lifestyle Box

The Lifestyle Box included:

  • Quote cards and thank-you card
  • Decorative cardstock trio
  • Plastic dashboard
  • Meal Planning Inserts pack
  • Recipe Notebook

There is also a vegan leather adjustable pen pouch included with this month’s subscription, but mine is shipping separately, so it wasn’t in the box I received.

Refreshing My Planner for October

After finishing the unboxing, I cleared off my desk and pulled out the pieces I wanted to use for my October planner refresh.

I’m not completely changing my planner setup. Instead, I’m simply switching out a few pieces to make my current planner feel fresh and ready for a new month.

First, I swapped out my current plastic cover for the new October plastic cover.

Then I changed out the decorative dashboard and added the new pieces I wanted to use with my October pages.

I also swapped out the quote cards tucked inside the front cover of my Hazelnut Vegan Leather Snap Cover.

These little changes don’t require me to reinvent my entire planning system, but they do make my planner feel new again.

A Little Planner Mishap

One of the pieces I tried to add was the new plastic dashboard.

Unfortunately, the punches on the dashboard I received weren’t spaced correctly for my planner, so it didn’t fit.

I mentioned in the video that I might try repunching it with my Levenger punch rather than letting that one little problem keep me from using it.

But after filming, I contacted the Jane’s Agenda Customer Service Team and sent them a photo showing the incorrect punch spacing.

They were incredibly kind and are sending me a replacement plastic dashboard with the correct punches. They also appreciated having the photo so they could share the issue with their team and get the spacing corrected.

So I’m looking forward to trying the replacement dashboard when it arrives!

I really appreciate that kind of customer service. Sometimes things go wrong, and I’m always happy to share the real-life little hiccups along with the pretty finished planner setup.

A Fresh Planner Without Starting Over

One thing I continue to appreciate about my planner is that I don’t need to completely reinvent it every time I want a fresh start.

Sometimes a planner refresh can be as simple as:

  • Changing the cover
  • Adding a new dashboard
  • Switching out a few decorative pieces
  • Updating your monthly pages
  • Adding a few seasonal inserts
  • Moving things around so they work better for the season you’re entering

For me, these little changes help my planner feel inviting without turning planner setup into another project I have to complete perfectly.

And that’s especially helpful as we head into the final months of the year.

Getting Ready for October

October always feels like a turning point in the year for me.

We’re moving deeper into fall, the holidays are getting closer, and before long I’ll be looking toward the end of another year.

I like using my planner to slow down enough to think about what’s actually coming rather than allowing the final months of the year to simply rush past me.

My October planner refresh is just one small part of that.

I’m still using the same basic planning system that works for me. I’m simply giving it a seasonal refresh and making sure the pages and tools I’m using support the life I’m actually living right now.

Ready for a New Month

There’s something special about opening a new month with a planner that feels fresh and inviting.

It doesn’t have to mean buying an entirely new planner or changing everything about the way you plan.

Sometimes a few small changes are enough.

For me, the October Jane’s Agenda box gave me a fun opportunity to refresh my planner, add a few seasonal touches, and get excited about the month ahead.

And after such a long, hot summer, I’m more than ready for October. 🍂🤎

Are you doing a planner refresh for October? What are you changing, adding, or looking forward to as we head into fall?

Wishing you a peaceful day, a fresh cup of coffee, and grace for whatever this season holds. 💛

With Gratitude,

Natasha
